Defendant Check-In Program
The Anthem Defendant Check-in Program is designed to reduce forfeitures and to increase the success of recovery for defendants who violate their bond agreement and/or miss their court date. The program is also intended to lower the temperature of the relationship between the defendant and bail bond associates, thus creating a safer environment for both parties.
How does the program increase court appearances?
Our check-in program offers defendants an additional step of accountability early on in the process of resolving their agreement to the court. The defendant receives a low temperature and non-threatening visit by bail agents to confirm their place of dwelling and to encourage the defendant’s appearance at their court date. This visit creates a more authoritative presence of the bondsman and his/her bail agent team. Additionally this program acts as an opportunity for the defendant to ask questions and receive an additional sense of peace in appearing in court to resolve their charges.
How does the program increase success of fugitive recovery and reduction of forfeitures?
By visiting the defendant in this non-threatening manner, the recovery team will have the opportunity to gather intel necessary for the safe and swift apprehension of defendants. The program creates further opportunity as it verifies the listed place of dwelling by defendants. In the event that the defendant gave a false address, this is discovered early in the process and recovery efforts may begin immediately. This creates more time and opportunity to apprehend the defendant before the final judgment date.
