As a fugitive recovery agent you will find yourself in almost any situation you can imagine. Being prepared and confident are paramount to your success. Anthem Defense & Recovery offers comprehensive training for individuals looking to become Fugitive Recovery Agents as well as existing Bail Agents wanting to perform fugitive recovery services.
Our fugitive recovery training will take you through all aspects of recovering individuals who have become fugitives and are running from the law. Our programs cover everything from laws and regulations to tactical execution of apprehending your fugitive to self defense and defensive firearms training.
Our training is a mixture of classroom, live fire training, and simulations. In addition to our training courses, we also offer students on the job training with our agents as they conduct investigations and locate and arrest fugitives.

TRAINING
What you can expect in our training
Classroom
We cover everything from laws and regulations, research and locate, questioning affiliates, to equipment and tactical planning in our classroom sessions.
Live Fire Range
Our tactical firearms training teaches you how to handle your firearm with confidence. Handling your firearm tactically and safely is a key component to your success.
Simulation
Scenario based live simulation training. This training uses real scenarios our agents encounter on a regular basis. Some scenarios will use live airsoft firearms.
On The Job Training
On the job training with our agents is available to students who complete our Tactical Execution and Defensive Firearms training.

GETTING LICENSED
Steps to becoming a licensed Fugitive Recovery Agent
Obtaining your North Carolina Bail Agent license is a fairly simple process and will generally take about 3 months to complete. While "training" is not required to obtain your license you will quickly realize how important it is for your safety and effectiveness as a Fugitive Recovery Agent.

Complete state approved pre-licensing class (we recommend the NCBAA)

Submit application to the NCDOI

Complete background check

Complete residence home check

Receive approval to take state exam
Do I need my License to go through the training?
No, and we suggest you do the training while you're waiting for the NCDOI to process all of your paperwork.
